Lilypie Fourth Birthday tickers

8 days

and mommy rested.

i have  been a p.e. teachers aid for 8 days now, and here are a few things that i have learned.

1.  elementary children; i don't understand them - literally.  they have to repeat themselves several times before i understand that they want to go the bathroom.

2.  i have never been so happy to sit down - we do safety patrol in the mornings and then a short break, but once classes start i sit down for lunch and then sit down when i get in my car to go home.  i better be losing some weight from this!!!

3.  ice packs make everything better (or a drink of water) - if there is a scrape or a boo boo then giving them an ice pack and letting them get a drink of water makes the difference between tears and smiles!  it is a miracle worker!!

4.  i have to answer to "coach byars" - talk about weird!  i am just now starting to answer to coach byars, but for a few days they kids or teachers would call it out and i would just keep walking.  i never thought i would be a coach.  i will let you know in a bit if i am liking being coach byars.

5.  i have never missed my son so much - it is hard feeding him his breakfast and then handing him off to either mema or grandad or daddy and then not seeing him for the rest of the day.  it also does not help that i am so tired when i get home.

i really do love the kiddos and they are pretty cute most of the time.  i also know that this is good for our family and that the time that liam gets to spend with his grandma and grandpa and mema and grandad is great.  i just miss my son.

  1. I love you, Coach Byars. Chuckle. Chuckle. #1 made me laugh really hard. I can't understand them either...except most of mine speak in Spanish. So I have a good excuse.
